Group Treasury & Business Controller

Educatius / STS help young people experience the world through international education. With operations in more than 20 countries and continued growth across markets, Educatius is now looking for a Group Treasury / Busienss Cotroller to join the Stockholm HQ. The role reports to the group CFO.

Your Challenge

As the Group’s Treasury lead, your primary focus will be to establish structure, transparency, and control over liquidity, cash flow, financing, and banking relationships. You will drive the continued centralization and development of Treasury processes, improve efficiency through automation and system support, and ensure robust cash management across the Group.

In parallel, you will contribute to the Finance function from a Business Controlling perspective by supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting. You will act as a financial business partner, providing insights and decision support to management while helping improve financial performance and transparency across the organization.

This is a broad role that offers the opportunity to combine deep Treasury expertise with a commercial and analytical perspective, making you a key contributor to both the Group’s financial stability and its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

As the person responsible for Treasury, you will work closely with Group Management, local finance teams, and external partners. You will ensure that the Group’s cash flows are managed efficiently and with high quality.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the Group’s liquidity and cash position
  • Development and management of cash pool structures and internal financing
  • Preparation, analysis, and quality assurance of cash flow forecasts and reports
  • Management of bank relationships, account structures, and KYC processes
  • Administration of external and internal loans
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date Treasury master data
  • Driving projects related to system implementation and process improvements

·       Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

·       Preparation of management reports, financial analyses, and decision-support materials

·       Monitoring business performance and key financial KPIs, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Optimizing the Group’s international cash flows and liquidity
  • Implementing and further developing cash management systems
  • Managing foreign exchange (FX) and intercompany transactions
  • Financial analysis and proactive capital management
  • Responsibility for bank relationships, guarantees, and compliance
  • Close collaboration with Finance Managers in Europe, Australia, and the US

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you are a structured and analytical individual with a strong drive and the ability to create order in complex environments. You are pragmatic and comfortable working both at a detailed operational level and with strategic initiatives.

You are proactive, identify improvement opportunities, and take initiative to drive change. You are communicative and confident in collaborating with various stakeholders, while also being able to work independently and take full ownership. Your curiosity and interest in developing processes and ways of working enable you to contribute actively to the company’s continued growth.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management or Business Controlling
  • Solid understanding of cash flow, financing, and banking structures
  • Experience working with a Treasury Management System
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Interest in systems and automation; experience in process automation is a plus
  • Fluency in Swedish and English

Experience from an international organization is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
