Accountant to global LOTS Group

Gazella is currently recruiting an accountant to LOTS Group. LOTS Group is a fully owned subsidiary of Scania offering integrated transport services globally. As an accountant on our team, you’ll play a crucial role in managing our reporting and accounting procedures. Your responsibilities will include overseeing reporting for foreign subsidiaries, collaborating with finance managers in different regions, and implementing process improvements and policies. And with the support of a team of 5 other finance professionals, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills and make a real impact on our business. The position is based at the LOTS Stockholm office, located in close vicinity to the central station. However, LOTS applies a hybrid workplace model with the flexibility to work from home a few days a week depending on tasks and in agreement with manager.

Your challenge
In the role as Accountant your core responsibilities are:
- Book closing activities, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
- Contribute to LOTS Group monthly financial reporting to Scania.
- Provide accounting support to operations.
- Actively participate in Group level projects and on occasion be the project lead.
The position
As an accountant at LOTS, you would play a key role in the reporting and accounting procedures for our business. In this role you will be responsible for reporting foreign subsidiaries to Group level. As such, you will also support in adhoc accounting work with finance managers in the regions, as well as process improvement and policy implementation. For everyday tasks, you will be working closely with global accounting and reporting (GARM) manager who will support, supervise and be responsible of the overall group reporting. The GARM will also conduct group wide projects in which you are expected to actively participate.
As we are a global organization, international travel might be necessary on occasion. You need to be comfortable working closely with key finance stakeholders as the role will occasionally require synchronizing with suppliers. Your experience
- Bachelors level degree in relevant area or accountant degree (redovisningsekonom).
- Possess a high proficiency in MS Office Software – most critically Excel.
- Structured and detail oriented, but also able to see the bigger picture.
- Must be available to travel internationally on occasion.
- Minimum language proficiency requirement: fluent in Swedish and English.
Further merits:
- Previous experience of ERP systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite, Hyperion or SAP).
- Project management.
Personal qualities
You like the fact that the company is young, with an entrepreneurial culture and ambitious colleagues. We believe that you have at least three to five years of previous experience from working as an accountant taking part of month- as well as year-end closing and reporting in an ERP-system. Good communication skills are important as we are a global organization working across borders with many different nationalities, cultures and languages.
