In collaboration with EF Education First, Gazella is now looking for a Global Payroll Analyst for the office in Malta. The role is suitable for someone who wants to combine analytical skills with an interest in payroll and accounting in a global context. As a Global Payroll Analyst, you will be part of a team of eight people handling payroll for several countries within EF. You report to the Payroll Manager and work closely with colleagues in multiple countries as well as with other functions within EF globally.

Your challenge 
In the role of Global Payroll Analyst, your tasks will include: 

• Managing payroll processes for EF employees across multiple countries 
   
• Handling monthly and hourly salaries, including reporting, bonus payments, and updates related to pension and insurance benefits 
   
• Managing payroll accounting and ensuring correct cost allocations in the financial system, including preparing and uploading payroll journals 
   
• Initiating and leading global payroll process improvements and participating in related projects, such as system upgrades or compliance initiatives 
   
• Communicating with employees and managers regarding payroll and benefit-related questions 
   
• HR Administration tasks to support employee’s life cycle

Experience 
We are looking for someone with a relevant education in finance, payroll or similar. You have 1–2 years of experience working with payroll or accounting, preferably with an international connection. You are confident in Excel and enjoy working with large data sets. Experience working with payroll systems such as ADP and Human Capital Management solutions is highly valued. Additional languages such as French are considered a merit. 

As a person, you are analytical, self-driven, and curious about working in a changing environment. You have strong communication skills in English and enjoy being part of a global setting. Most importantly, you have an interest in both numbers and people – you understand the full picture of what is required for a correct and smooth payroll process.
