In collaboration with EF Education First, Gazella is now looking for an Accounting Manager to join EF’s Finance Office in Malta. Your challenge

In the role of Accounting Manager, your tasks will include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting
  • Producing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Leading process improvements and internal finance projects
  • Managing tax and regulatory matters in collaboration with external advisors
  • Taking ownership of legal entities and ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Supporting budgeting and key business decisions
  • Acting as a point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders

Experience

We are looking for someone with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and at least 3 years of relevant experience. A background from a Big4 firm is considered a strong merit. You have solid knowledge of accounting principles and control mechanisms, coupled with strong analytical ability and attention to detail. Experience working in international environments is highly valued. You are confident in using financial systems and Excel, and ideally you have been involved in leading improvement initiatives or finance-related projects, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and a readiness to embrace change. Furthermore, you possess excellent communication skills in English and fluency in additional languages is considered a plus. You are capable of training and coaching individuals.
