Financial Analyst to EF Education First

In collaboration with EF Education First, Gazella is now looking for a Financial Analyst to join EF’s Finance Office in Malta. Your challenge

In this role, your tasks will include:

  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
  • Actual vs. forecast analysis for EF’s different products and schools
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Conducting reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in financial records
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Participating in project-based teams in addition to your regular duties, where you’ll play a key role in discovering innovative ways of working and adding value to the office and EF as a whole

Experience

We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering, preferably with 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a similar field. Previous experience in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, is considered a strong merit. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required. International experience, such as studying, living, or working abroad, is highly valued. You should be proficient in Excel, and experience with Oracle is an advantage. You should have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership, as well as being comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Furthermore, you possess excellent communication skills in English, and fluency in additional languages is considered a plus. You are capable of training and coaching individuals.
