Gazella is now recruiting an Accounting Manager for Transcom, an Altor owned company, which offers innovative solutions and exceptional service through business process outsourcing. In this key role, you will lead the accounting function for the Nordic and Baltic regions, building stability, developing the team, and driving process improvements across multiple legal entities within a finance organization striving for efficiency, while offering the right person strong professional growth potential.

The role is based in Stockholm and reports directly to the Regional Finance Director for the Nordics & Baltics. You will play a crucial role in setting the agenda for the accounting function, supported by hands-on and visionary finance leadership.

The Role

The position as Accounting Manager includes the following responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the Nordic and Baltics accounting team, including Accounts Payable and Senior Accountants for Sweden, Norway, and the Baltic countries.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with all regulatory requirements in each country.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with group timelines and procedures.
Analyse financial data and provide insights to the Finance Director to support strategic decision-making.
Mentor and develop the accounting team, providing leadership and support.
Stay current with accounting regulations and ensure compliance with both internal and external requirements.
Support operations and update business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Drive process automation throughout the accounting function.

Your Background

We are looking for a candidate with:

A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Previous experience of impactful leadership as an accounting manager and proven financial capabilities.
5+ years from leading an accounting team with a solid foundation from either audit or hands-on accounting.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP in Nordic and/or Baltic markets.
Experience working in an international, multi-entity environment.
Strong SAP skills and high proficiency in Excel.
Fluency in English and either Swedish or another Nordic language.

Additional qualifications considered a plus:

Experience working in organizations with high ambitions and continuous development.
Exposure to intercompany, tax, and VAT compliance.
Background from both systems and process development.
