Do you want to help build the Treasury function in an international company? Educatius is now looking for a business-oriented and driven Group Treasury Controller who wants to combine operational responsibility with strategic development. In this role, you will have a central position with significant influence in a globally operating organization undergoing an exciting development journey, reporting directly to the CFO.
Your Challenge
In this role, you will have full responsibility for the Group’s Treasury function in an environment where processes and routines need to be established. Your main challenge will be to create structure, transparency, and control over liquidity, cash flow, and financing.
You will drive the gradual centralization of Treasury and actively work to improve efficiency through automation and system support. As you will be the sole person within the Treasury function, the role requires a high level of ownership and the ability to work both operationally and strategically—from daily cash management to long-term improvement initiatives.
In addition, the role offers the opportunity to take on broader controlling responsibilities over time, contributing to financial analysis, performance follow-up, and supporting the business with insights beyond the Treasury scope.
Key Responsibilities
As the person responsible for Treasury, you will work closely with Group Management, local finance teams, and external partners. You will ensure that the Group’s cash flows are managed efficiently and with high quality.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for the Group’s liquidity and cash position
- Development and management of cash pool structures and internal financing
- Preparation, analysis, and quality assurance of cash flow forecasts and reports
- Management of bank relationships, account structures, and KYC processes
- Administration of external and internal loans
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date Treasury master data
- Driving projects related to system implementation and process improvements
You will also be responsible for:
- Optimizing the Group’s international cash flows and liquidity
- Implementing and further developing cash management systems
- Managing foreign exchange (FX) and intercompany transactions
- Financial analysis and proactive capital management
- Responsibility for bank relationships, guarantees, and compliance
- Close collaboration with Finance Managers in Europe, Australia, and the US
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you are a structured and analytical individual with a strong drive and the ability to create order in complex environments. You are pragmatic and comfortable working both at a detailed operational level and with strategic initiatives.
You are proactive, identify improvement opportunities, and take initiative to drive change. You are communicative and confident in collaborating with various stakeholders, while also being able to work independently and take full ownership. Your curiosity and interest in developing processes and ways of working enable you to contribute actively to the company’s continued growth.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in Treasury or Cash Management
- Solid understanding of cash flow, financing, and banking structures
- Experience working with a Treasury Management System
- Strong Excel skills
- Interest in systems and automation; experience in process automation is a plus
- Fluency in Swedish and English
Experience from an international organization is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
