Scandi Standard is now looking for a Group IT Business Controller with strong financial expertise and the confidence in partnering closely with IT and senior management. In this role, you will help shape the financial governance and drive value creation for IT in an international, publicly listed group. This is a key Group-level role combining strategic responsibility with hands-on involvement. You will link IT operations to financial performance, drive cost transparency and ensure IT investments support the Group’s overall objectives.

About the role
As Group IT Business Controller, you are part of Group Business Control and act as a strategic and financial business partner to the CIO and IT leadership team. You have overall responsibility for the Group’s IT financial performance and play a central role in how IT costs, investments, and performance are managed and communicated at Group level. You report to the Head of Group Business Control, with a dotted line to the CIO, and work closely with executive stakeholders across the Group.
Main responsibilities:
- Own and drive the Group IT budget, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, ensuring transparency and strong financial control.
- Analyze and consolidate IT financial performance across the Group, including variance analysis, risks and opportunities, and relevant KPIs linking cost to operational outcomes.
- Act as a strategic business partner to IT leadership, supporting and challenging budget owners and project managers in financial decisions, priorities, and business cases.
- Ensure robust cost governance for IT services, projects, and investments, including cloud and digital initiatives, while driving continuous improvements in cost efficiency and resource utilization.
- Monitor IT projects and investments, including CAPEX capitalization, financial follow-up, and preparation of decision material for steering committees and senior management.
- Contribute to month-end close, internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness for Group IT.
- Collaborate closely with Group Finance, local finance teams, and other Group functions, and contribute to Group-wide financial systems, reporting, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in business or financial controlling, preferably in IT, project-driven, or complex OPEX environments, within large or international organizations.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and governance, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Skilled in partnering with senior stakeholders and management teams.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, Excel, ERP and consolidation tools, as well as BI tools.
- Fluency in Swedish and English is required, as communication is conducted in both languages.
