Öhlins is now looking for a Group Financial Controller for a key position, where you will be responsible for group reporting, IFRS-related matters, financial analysis, and internal control. Your Challenge
As Group Financial Controller, you will play a central role in the Group Finance function, with broad responsibilities. The role involves close collaboration with the Finance Manager, local finance teams across the Group’s subsidiaries, and other controllers within the organization. You will be an important driver in developing and standardizing processes, strengthening reporting quality, and ensuring that the Group operates according to common principles and procedures.
The position is based at the company’s headquarters in Upplands Väsby and reports directly to the CFO.
Your Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Drive harmonization of accounting principles, reporting structures, and financial processes across the Group.
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting to the parent company, ensuring accuracy, quality, and IFRS compliance.
- Act as a advisor and support implementation of new accounting standards and group policies.
- Perform financial analysis, variance reviews, and KPI follow-ups to support management decision-making.
- Act as a business partner to management by identifying risks, opportunities and profitability improvement actions across the Group.
- Support forecasting and budgeting processes for selected international entities.
- Monitor transfer pricing compliance and support related documentation and profitability analysis.
- Lead CAPEX controlling, including investment follow-up, reporting, business case analysis, and policy compliance.
- Strengthen internal controls, support audits, and ensure compliance with internal policies, governance requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting quality, transparency, and finance processes across the Group.
Qualifications
We believe you have:
- A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Approximately 7–8 years of experience in audit, accounting, financial controlling, or similar roles.
- Deep understanding of IFRS and practical experience with group consolidation and financial reporting in an international environment.
- Experience with financial closings, analysis, and performance follow-up.
- Experience in developing processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Strong systems skills and a genuine interest in process improvement, efficiency, and standardization.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken as communication and documentation take place in both languages.
Experience from a public accounting firm, preferably one of the Big Four, is considered a merit but is not a requirement.
