- Serve as the primary internal expert on Swedish GAAP (K3), statutory reporting and local regulatory requirements.
- Develop, structure and maintain accounting department procedures and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators
- Stay up to date on accounting standards, regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices
- Lead and develop the accounting team and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
We believe you have:
- A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Approximately 7-10 years of experience in accounting and finance
- Experience managing or leading an accounting function
- Extensive knowledge of K3 accounting standards, annual reporting, and Swedish regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience preparing annual reports for Swedish legal entities
- Experience with group accounting and consolidation
- Strong systems proficiency and an interest in efficient processes
- Experience from an international organization is considered an advantage
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken as communication and documentation take place in both languages
If you have a background in auditing, preferably with a Big Four firm, we consider that particularly interesting.
Personal Attributes
To succeed in this role, you are a confident and down-to-earth professional who enjoys collaboration and building long-term relationships. You are a natural team player who builds trust across the organization and works effectively both with your team and with other functions within the business. You are structured, detail-oriented, and quality-focused, with strong analytical skills and sound business acumen.
