BI Controller to OX2
Gazella is now recruiting a Business Intelligence Controller (BI Controller) for listed OX2, one of Europe’s leading developers of renewable energy sources. In the role of BI Controller, you will have overall responsibility for all of OX2’s business controlling systems – on both project, portfolio, and corporate level incl. Power BI and Planacy. Key focus on extensive collaboration, both within finance function as well as across the broader organization (e.g. markets, technologies) to identify needs and drive system implementations to improve decision making, increase efficiency etc. The BI Controller will be an integral part of the Corporate planning and controlling team, and will also work closely with the organization on areas such as follow-up and forecasting, business planning, and target setting.
Over the past six years, OX2 has shown strong growth and is currently present in ten markets in Europe. OX2’s product areas include onshore and offshore wind power, solar power, and energy storage. Our function for Business Control is under strong development and we work proactively for a more data-driven financial and business follow-up, a work that you will obviously be an important part of. We work to support and challenge management in both business and operational decisions to consistently grow and lead OX2 in the best way.
Your challenge
In the role as BI Controller, your core responsibilities will be:
- Lead and overall responsibility for OX2’s Business intelligence systems incl. Power BI and Planacy.
- Collaborate closely with the organization to identify opportunities for system improvement – provide insights and recommendations for implementing new systems or upgrading existing ones.
- Lead and drive continuous system development and improvement.
- Oversee and manage external BI consultants acting as a stakeholder, providing guidance, feedback, and ensuring successful collaboration.
- Lead and support on corporate planning and controlling incl. follow-up and forecasting, budgeting and target setting.
Experience
To be successful in this role, you possess a solid skill set in Business intelligence systems, particularly Power BI or similar (experience in other systems such as Planacy is also advantageous). You hold a university degree in economics or a related field and have at least six years of work experience, including previous experience from business controlling. Furthermore, you possess a good understanding of accounting principles and systems in general. You are fluent in Swedish and English.

You have the ability to, and enjoy acting as, the bridge between IT, finance, and the broader organization. You have experience in leading projects and possess strong organizational skills and the ability to drive initiatives forward. You thrive in changing environments and enjoy working on system and process development. In addition, you are solution-oriented, seeking opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
